ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER

Hush! Hearken...
It's mounting.
Voices. Small voices. No voices;
Shades of black voices.
Hearken!
You'll hear it,
From the slums, the town halls, the South,
From the South-east, the 'shit hole continent', the projects.
Crying on the streets, on Twitter.
Justice! Justice! Justice!
Have your ways but give us justice.

Hush! Think...
We say we are superior.
Our race, our ethnicity, our zone;
Even our lives too.
We say we are superior humans than them;
Because we got privilege.
We say we deserve life, liberty and leadership than them;
Because we got some form of power.
So we criticize, brutalize
Discriminate, exasperate
Unsympathetically, nepotistically.

Hush! Quit...
Quit pointing fingers,
It's you, me too,
Not just the oppressive other.
We're all culprits and victims.
Flip the search light,
Search the nooks of your soul;
We're not altogether so lovely.
Search the crannies;
We are guilty too.
This global reform cuts deeper,
If it swiftly dawns on us
That ALL BLACK LIVES MATTER.

WHAT DO WE DO NEXT?

What do we do after we’ve done it all?
And for the umpteenth time, the system frustrates us.
What do we do after we’ve been paralyzed?
 By the actions and inactions of government and citizenry both.
What do we do after we have prayed…fasted?
But the situation seems to be getting worse…decayed.
What do we do next?
After we’ve done it ALL, and don’t know what else to do?

ORDINATION DAY

Ordination day

Was when Grandpa said

Cultivate the farm stead

Clear the weeds

Sow some seeds

And gather the harvest grains

Till i come again.
